My Focus

Hi! I’m Leticia, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. My goal is to help clients cultivate a deeper, more compassionate understanding of themselves—one that promotes emotional balance, resilience, and authentic connection. I aim to empower clients to hold space for their full spectrum of emotions and experiences with confidence, allowing them to navigate life’s challenges with clarity, strength, and self-compassion.

Therapy with Me

Clients often describe my therapeutic style as warm, reflective, collaborative, and patient. I strive to create a supportive environment that balances empathy with gentle, goal-oriented challenge—encouraging growth at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

During our sessions, clients can expect to:

  • Feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood
  • Explore emotions, beliefs, and behaviors through integrative “parts work”
  • Engage in mindfulness practices that promote grounding and self-awareness
  • Reflect on prior insights and adjust focus as therapy evolves
  • Experience a respectful, paced approach in which new techniques are introduced thoughtfully and collaboratively

My Journey to Becoming a Therapist

My path to becoming a therapist was guided by a deep desire to truly understand and see people beyond the surface. I’ve always been struck by how often individuals’ inner experiences are overlooked, and I felt called to a profession that values empathy, complexity, and genuine human connection. My approach has been shaped by the teachings of influential mental health professionals, including Dr. Sue Johnson, Dr. Gabor Maté, Dr. Richard Schwartz, Dr. Frank Anderson, Dr. Janina Fisher, and Dr. Judith Lewis Herman, as well as by mentors who modeled empathy and integrity in practice. Their wisdom continues to inspire me to approach each client with curiosity, compassion, and respect for the courage it takes to heal.

My Hopes for Clients

My goal is to help clients cultivate greater self-awareness, emotional healing, and resilience. Through our work together, I strive to support the process of breaking unhelpful patterns, strengthening relationships, and rebuilding trust in oneself.

Ultimately, I hope clients leave therapy with a deepened sense of self-compassion and confidence—empowered by the tools and inner resources needed to navigate life’s challenges with clarity, balance, and grace.

A Guiding Philosophy

I believe that human beings are inherently wired for connection, and that healing occurs within the context of safe, authentic relationships. This understanding serves as the foundation of my therapeutic work, guiding me to look beyond symptoms and focus on the whole person—their experiences, strengths, and capacity for growth.
