Testimonials
Hi, I’m Alexandra !
My journey into the mental health field began through my work as a social worker on Skid Row in Los Angeles, where I supported individuals experiencing trauma, significant life challenges, and barriers to accessing care. This experience shaped my commitment to providing compassionate, nonjudgmental care and reinforced my belief in meeting each person with dignity and understanding.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than seven years of experience providing mental health services to children, adults, and families. Throughout my career, I have been especially passionate about supporting underserved and marginalized communities. I have also served as both a Program Supervisor and Clinical Supervisor, providing leadership, clinical guidance, and support to other mental health professionals.
My Approach to Therapy
I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma and may find themselves struggling to trust themselves or others, manage difficult emotions, build healthy relationships, or understand how past experiences continue to affect their present lives.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process and that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to work alongside you and create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we can process difficult experiences, recognize patterns, build insight, and explore healthier ways of responding to the challenges you face.
My approach is integrative and tailored to your individual needs, experiences, and goals. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Polyvagal-informed approaches, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness-based interventions, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and other evidence-based approaches.
Our Work Together
My goal is for therapy to feel like a partnership. Together, we may work toward:
- Building greater insight into your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships
- Developing greater trust in yourself and your ability to navigate challenges
- Building healthier and more trusting relationships with others
- Understanding how your nervous system responds to stress
- Developing practical skills for managing difficult emotions
- Strengthening mindfulness and emotional regulation
- Identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns
- Developing healthier ways of navigating everyday challenges
I strive to create a therapeutic space grounded in curiosity, compassion, and authenticity. Rather than focusing solely on reducing symptoms, I want to help you better understand yourself, recognize the connections between your past and present, and develop tools that support meaningful and lasting change.
My Hope for You
You do not have to figure everything out on your own. Therapy can be a place to pause, make sense of your experiences, and begin moving toward the life you want to create.
My hope is that through our work together, you can develop a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen trust in yourself and others, feel more grounded in the present, and build the confidence and tools needed to move forward in meaningful ways.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.
