Testimonials
Hi, I’m Andei!
About Me
Growing up, I moved back and forth between Japan and the United States, which shaped the way I understand identity, culture, belonging, and the many experiences that influence how we see ourselves and connect with others. Navigating different cultures from a young age taught me the importance of creating space for people to feel understood without judgment.
As an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, I’m passionate about creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful change.
I believe therapy can be a place to slow down, reflect, and better understand yourself while developing the tools to move forward. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive environment where you can explore your experiences openly and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
My Focus
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, identity, and other experiences that may feel overwhelming or difficult to navigate alone. I especially value working with young adults and those exploring questions of identity, belonging, relationships, and their direction in life.
My Approach
My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches to meet each client where they are.
I believe therapy should be both a space for self-exploration and a place to develop practical tools that can be applied in everyday life. I value listening to each client’s unique story and working collaboratively to better understand the experiences and patterns that have shaped them.
My Goal for You
My goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, confidence, resilience, and self-compassion. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being your authentic self, exploring difficult experiences, and finding your own voice. Together, we can work toward meaningful change and a life and relationships that feel more fulfilling and aligned with who you are.
