Testimonials

Hi, I’m Ryan. I’m glad you’re here.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, family conflict, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Whether this is your first therapy session or your hundredth, my goal is to help you feel comfortable showing up authentically, exploring life’s challenges without judgment, and moving toward meaningful, lasting healing.

My Background

Originally from the South Side of Chicago and now living in Southern California, I bring a perspective shaped by diverse communities, cultures, and life experiences. These experiences have strengthened my belief that our relationships, environments, and lived experiences all play an important role in shaping who we are. Over the past decade, I have worked in higher education, K–12 schools, community mental health, and private practice, supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges.

I earned my Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, and my clinical work is grounded in understanding the whole person—not simply the symptoms—while honoring each client’s unique story.

My Approach

I believe healing begins with genuine human connection. My approach to therapy is collaborative, culturally responsive, practical, and compassionate. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, meeting you where you are while helping you develop greater insight, resilience, and healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

Working from a systemic and relational perspective, I help clients recognize the patterns that influence their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors so they can create meaningful, lasting change.

How I Can Help

I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families from all walks of life. I have a particular passion for supporting musicians, artists, and professionals within the entertainment industry. Having spent years around music and creative spaces, I understand many of the unique pressures that can accompany creative careers, including performance anxiety, burnout, identity struggles, relationship challenges, public expectations, and balancing professional success with personal well-being.

Looking Forward

I believe therapy is about more than overcoming challenges—it’s about discovering your strengths, gaining clarity, deepening your relationships, and creating a life that reflects your values and purpose. It is truly a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they heal, grow, and become the healthiest version of themselves. I look forward to supporting you wherever you are on your journey.
