Testimonials
Hi, I’m Isabel!
Reaching out for therapy isn’t easy. You might look like you’re holding everything together — but underneath, something feels heavy, or stuck.
Most of what people bring to therapy isn’t a sign that something is wrong with them. It’s usually patterns that made sense at some point — ways they learned to cope, stay safe, avoid conflict, or take care of others. Over time, those same patterns can become exhausting, or leave you feeling disconnected from yourself. What once helped you get through may now be getting in the way of how you want to feel in your life and relationships.
Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or be the version of you that feels most acceptable to everyone else. It’s a place where we can slow down, make room for what you’ve been carrying, and start to understand your experiences with curiosity instead of judgment. I don’t take lightly the trust it takes to begin that process.
My Background
One thing you can expect from me is curiosity. I’ve always been fascinated by people — their stories, their relationships, and the experiences that shape who they become. That curiosity led me to a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and to a profession that honors the complexity of the human experience.
I’ve worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in outpatient and residential settings, supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, OCD, dual diagnoses, chronic illness, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Across all of it, one thing has stayed consistent: people are far more resilient than they feel.
My Approach
Many of the people I work with feel caught in experiences they can’t quite explain. Anxiety that won’t settle. Relationships that repeat the same painful cycle. A mind that never stops racing.
I don’t see those experiences as failures, and I’m not interested in labeling you as the problem. I’m interested in the patterns you’ve developed, how they formed, and what they’ve been trying to do for you — and just as much, in what’s still underneath them: your values, your clarity, your resilience, and the parts of you that may have been pushed aside along the way.
My work is relational, attachment-based, and trauma-informed, and I integrate evidence-based approaches around your unique needs and goals. Because every person is different, we’ll shape our work together to fit you.
My Hope for You
You don’t need the right words or a clear plan to begin. Healing doesn’t come from having all the answers — it comes from feeling understood, and from discovering that the patterns you’ve carried don’t have to define where your story goes next. You do.
Therapy with me isn’t about becoming a different person. It’s about feeling more like yourself. My hope is that this becomes a place where you can understand yourself more deeply, treat yourself with greater compassion, and feel more connected to the people who matter most — without carrying everything on your own. We’ll go at your pace, and we’ll build from there, together.
